Closets For Less is a custom closet company serving Buckingham, PA, with walk-in closets, wardrobe closets and garage storage for the township’s farmhouses and large-lot homes. We are locally owned and based in Warminster, in Bucks County, since 2007. Every project starts with a free in-home design consultation and is installed by our own team.
Closets for Buckingham’s farmhouses and newer homes
Buckingham Township sits in the middle of Central Bucks, between Doylestown and New Hope, and much of it is still open land and preserved farms. The housing comes in two main types. One is the older farmhouse, often stone, often added onto over the generations. The other is the newer single-family home on a large lot, built in developments over the last few decades, with a primary suite, a mudroom and a two- or three-car garage.
These two kinds of houses need completely different closet plans. As a custom closet company working across Bucks County, we design for whichever one you own.
Older farmhouses: closets where there were none
Farmhouses were built with very little closet space, sometimes none in the bedrooms. Common situations in these homes:
- Bedrooms without a closet, where a custom wardrobe closet gives you hanging, shelves and drawers in one built unit
- Shallow or narrow closets where a standard rod will not fit front to back, solved with shelving cut to the depth
- Low ceilings and slopes on upper floors, where hanging and drawers are placed around the roofline
- Walls that are not square or plumb, which a custom system is fitted to, unlike a kit
The goal is storage that works without fighting the character of the house.
Many Buckingham farmhouses have been added onto over time, so one house can have an original wing with almost no closets and a newer wing with a modern walk-in. We plan both at once, so clothing for the whole family is spread sensibly across the house instead of crammed into the one big closet.
Newer homes: walk-ins worth planning
Newer Buckingham homes often have generous walk-in closets finished with a single wire shelf. A designed walk-in closet for these rooms may include:
- An island with drawers on both sides, where the room is wide enough
- A drawer tower with soft-close drawers for folded clothes and accessories
- Double hanging and long hanging in the right proportions for what you own
- Shoe shelving and adjustable shelves
Garages, mudrooms and the rest of the house
Larger lots usually mean larger garages, full of mowers, tools, bikes and seasonal gear. Garage storage cabinets, a workbench and slatwall get it organized and off the floor. Inside, a mudroom with lockers and a bench catches boots and coats at the door, and a pantry with adjustable shelving replaces wire racks.

Materials and finish
Every system is built from 3/4 inch furniture-grade boards, with options including adjustable shelving and soft-close drawers. You pick from many finishes and hardware options, so a closet in a farmhouse can look at home there and a closet in a new build can match its trim.
What a closet costs in Buckingham
The price follows the size of the space, the number of drawers, the finish and the extras. A wardrobe for a farmhouse bedroom and an island walk-in for a new home are very different projects, so we measure before we quote. The consultation and estimate are free. Our custom closet cost guide explains the factors.
