Closets For Less is a locally owned closet company serving Langhorne, PA, with custom closets, kids’ closets and pantries for homes in Langhorne Borough, Langhorne Manor and Middletown Township. We have worked from our Warminster office in Bucks County since 2007. A free in-home consultation comes first, then a design for your space, then installation by our own team.
A closet company for Langhorne’s mix of homes
Langhorne is a small, historic borough in Lower Bucks, surrounded by Middletown Township. The borough itself has older homes along its main streets. Langhorne Manor next door is a small borough of larger homes on bigger lots. Around both, Middletown Township grew through the postwar decades and beyond with ranches, split-levels, colonials and townhouse communities, many of them in the Neshaminy School District.
So a Langhorne mailing address can mean almost any kind of house. Our job as a closet company is to design for the one you have, not to sell a standard layout.
Children’s closets that grow with them
In family homes like the ones across Middletown Township, a child’s closet needs a different plan from an adult’s, and the plan has to change as the child does. A good children’s closet:
- Starts with low hanging and low drawers a young child can reach without help
- Uses adjustable shelving and rods that move up as they grow
- Keeps a high shelf for things parents want out of reach
- Has bins or cubbies for toys, shoes and sports gear
- Can be reset for a teenager, or a guest room, without being replaced
Built from 3/4 inch furniture-grade boards, it holds up to years of kids using it. For more ideas, our post on closet organization tips for families covers what works at each age.
Reach-in and walk-in closets
Most Middletown Township ranches and split-levels have reach-in closets with one rod and one shelf. A designed reach-in closet adds double hanging, shelving to the ceiling and drawers in the same footprint. In newer colonials with walk-ins, we plan each wall for what you own, with long hanging, double hanging, shoe shelving and a drawer tower or island where the room is wide enough.
In older borough homes, closets can be shallow and upstairs ceilings can slope. We cut shelving to the real depth and place hanging where the ceiling allows, so nothing is wasted.
Pantries and the rest of the house
Beyond closets, Langhorne homeowners often ask us to look at the kitchen and the entry. A custom pantry with adjustable shelves and pull-out drawers puts everything in view. Other common projects:
| Space | What we design |
|---|---|
| Pantry or kitchen closet | Adjustable shelving, pull-out drawers |
| Entry or coat closet | Shoe shelf, hooks, coat hanging |
| Laundry room | Cabinets, folding surface, hanging rod |
| Garage | Cabinets, workbench, slatwall |
| Spare room | Murphy bed or home office built-in |
Shared primary closets
In many Langhorne homes, two people share one primary closet that was sized for less than either of them owns. A shared closet works better when it is split into clear zones: one side for each person, each with its own mix of long hanging, double hanging and shelves, and a shared drawer stack or shoe section in the middle. In a reach-in, that might mean dividing the length in two. In a walk-in, each wall can belong to someone. The 3D design shows exactly where everything goes before you approve it, so the split is agreed before anything is built.
What custom closets cost in Langhorne
The price follows the size of the closet, the number of drawers, the finish and any extras. A child’s reach-in costs far less than a walk-in with an island. We measure and quote for free. Our custom closet cost guide explains the factors so you know what to expect.
