Closets For Less is a locally owned custom closet company serving Feasterville-Trevose, PA, from our office in nearby Warminster, where we have been since 2007. We design closets, basements and garages for the area’s Cape Cods, ranches and split-levels. Each project starts with a free in-home consultation and is installed by our own team.
A closet company that knows Feasterville-Trevose homes
Feasterville-Trevose straddles Lower Southampton Township and Bensalem Township, on the Bucks County side of the Northeast Philadelphia line. Most of its neighborhoods filled in during the postwar decades, and the housing reflects that: brick and frame Cape Cods, one-story ranches, split-levels and twins on modest lots. They are solid homes, but the closets were built for smaller wardrobes than most families have now.
As a closet company working all over Lower Bucks, we plan for the problems these houses tend to have from the first visit.
Closets for Cape Cods, ranches and split-levels
Cape Cods
Upstairs bedrooms in a Cape sit under the roof slope, so closets are short at the back and tall at the front, often with knee-wall space behind them. We design around the slope: hanging where there is height, drawers and shelves where there is not, and nothing wasted at either end.
Ranches
Ranch bedrooms usually have one reach-in each, often with bifold or sliding doors. A designed reach-in closet with double hanging, shelving to the ceiling and built-in drawers can let a dresser leave the room entirely.
Split-levels
Split-levels spread storage across several short flights, with a lower level that often holds a family room, laundry and garage access. We plan the bedroom closets and then look at the lower level, where coats, shoes and sports gear tend to pile up.
Basements and garages that hold the overflow
In a postwar Feasterville-Trevose house, the basement and garage carry a lot of weight. Some ideas we design for:
- Finished basements: closed cabinets and shelving for games, holiday decorations and bulk supplies. Our post on storage for your finished basement has layouts.
- Unfinished basements: open shelving for bins and seasonal items, kept off the floor
- Garages: garage storage cabinets, a workbench and slatwall for tools, bikes and yard gear
- Entry closets: shoe shelving and hooks where a mudroom would be in a newer house
A front closet that does a mudroom’s job
Most postwar houses in Feasterville-Trevose were built without a mudroom. Everyone comes in through the front door or the side door by the driveway, and coats, shoes, bags and umbrellas collect right there. The coat closet next to that door is usually a single rod over a bare floor. We turn it into a small mudroom: a shoe shelf or cubbies at the bottom, a mix of coat hanging and hooks, a shelf for hats and gloves, and baskets for the things that usually end up on the stairs. Where there is wall space nearby, a narrow bench or locker unit adds more.

Using the space behind a Cape Cod knee wall
Many Feasterville-Trevose Capes have triangular space behind the upstairs knee walls, sometimes reached through a small access door and sometimes not used at all. Where there is safe access, shelving in that space is a good home for luggage, holiday bins and out-of-season clothes, which frees the bedroom closet for everyday things. We look at it during the consultation and include it in the 3D design if it makes sense for your house.
What it costs
Closet pricing in Feasterville-Trevose follows the same factors as anywhere: the size of the space, the number of drawers, the finish and the extras. Reach-ins cost far less than walk-ins. We measure and quote for free. Read our custom closet cost guide to understand the numbers before your consultation.
